Gap between the bat and the pad
Yesterday Irfan Pathan took a hat-trick. And the last delivery of his first over which bowled M.Yousuf is greatly applaudable. The gap between the bat and the pad of the batsman was huge and the ball swung its way to the wicket through it. The wicket took me back to the incident when India was touring South Africa. One of the Indian batsman was bowled on a Donald's delivery in the similar fashion. On this Gavaskar, the little master, had commented -
"The gap between the bat and the pad was so huge that even an elephant could have passed through it."

That man, if my memory serves me right.. was unfortunately Tendulkar!
How can I forget that wicket :(
If I am not mistaking Gavaskar had commented this after that world class delivery of Donald that took off the wicket behind Tendulkar.
And this wicket was being telecast repeatedly throughout the series and for many more days ahead.
